Meanwhile, tribes are experiencing a once-in-a-generation funding opportunity, but many are under-resourced to seize this moment. Without outside assistance, tribes may miss a crucial window to better the lives of their members while improving the environment which they’ve called home since time immemorial. Many tribes need additional support to identify and implement solutions to mitigate climate impacts. The best solutions will also increase economic opportunities for tribal communities, advance cultural preservation, and improve the health of community members. These are the solutions that Resource Synergy aims to identify and implement.

The Climate Action Plan starts with a comprehensive Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Inventory then builds a strategic roadmap to decarbonization. We generate project ideas through a Priority Climate Action Plan, incorporate community feedback through a customized engagement approach, and then progress to Comprehensive Climate Action Plan, iteratively developed as new data and/or resources become available.

Resource Synergy assists tribes in navigating the CPRG and CCA programs, which provide critical funding for climate action projects. Our grant writing and project management services ensure that tribes can access the financial resources needed to implement impactful climate initiatives.
